This soldier themed build focuses on using physical combat and archery to roleplay as a proper soldier. Fire off arrows from range, before moving forward with your shield raised to attack your enemies with powerful spear thrusts. For the Queen!

The original conception for this build was entirely for roleplaying the theme of being a soldier. When I first created the build, it had a two-handed greatsword on the backbar to gain Major Brutality for that juicy 20% damage boost, but I really didn't like the idea of a soldier stowing their sword and shield to pull out a heavy two-handed weapon. The second version of this build used the Dreugh King Slayer set for its constant Major Brutality effect, but this wasn't ideal. Inspired by Roman armies, it seemed fitting to have my shield bearing, spear jabbing soldier to use a bow on the back bar. Thankfully, the Biting Jabs skill, this build's main spammable, was buffed to grant Major Brutality for 10 seconds on use! Finally, I could ditch Dreugh King Slayer and pick some item sets that really complemented this build for maximum damage. I also experimented with using Malacath's Band of Brutality for a time, but found critical damage to just be more powerful for PvE.

Dominion Seneschal is a build that focuses on dealing area of effect damage, with its gap-closer, debuff, and spammable being AoE attacks. There's an equally strong focus on damage over time, with half of the skills being buffed by the Deadly Strike item set. Being both channeled and AoE, the Biting Jabs spammable is buffed by both of the item sets for some huge damage.

At the start of the fight, use Explosive Charge to close the gap and then one use of Biting Jabs to get Major Brutality and the 20% damage increase that comes with it. Throw in a Deep Slash as well to debuff their resistance. Now it's time to lay down all of your DoTs. Fire off Soul Splitting Trap, Power of the Light, Restoring Focus, Endless Hail, Ritual of Retribution, and Razor Caltrops, and be sure to refresh them when needed.

Outside of refreshing your DoTs, your main focus will be spamming Biting Jabs. Don't forget that you have Resolving Vigor on the back-bar if you ever need emergency healing!

Flawless Dawnbreaker is your main ultimate, but Everlasting Sweep can be useful when surrounded by larger amounts of squishier enemies.

A Dominion Seneschal wears all Medium Armour with the Divines trait to enhance their critical damage. All armour pieces are enchanted with Glyphs of Stamina.

Their jewellery is enchanted with Glyphs of Increase Physical Harm. The necklace has Robust to increase Stamina, and the rings have Healthy to top up their slightly low health.

A sword and shield are the main weapon of choice. The shield is just like the rest of the armour, with Divines and a Glyph of Stamina. The sword is Sharpened for a little extra penetration, and enchanted with Absorb Stamina to help with sustain. The back bar is a classic Infused piece with a Glyph of Weapon Damage.

Deadly Strike is a PvP set that can be purchased in Bruma, Cyrodiil, or earned randomly. It increases damage over time and channeled ability damage by 15%, so it's a no-brainer for this build.
Dagon's Dominion is a dungeon set that drops in The Cauldron. Similar to Deadly Strike, a Dominion Seneschal uses a lot of area of effect abilities, so it's also a very safe set to use.
Ring of the Pale Order is a Mythic ring, obtained through the Antiquities system. Simply provides all the healing you could need for solo content.
Magma Incarnate is only used for the recovery boosts from the 1 item set bonus.
